Why a New Democratic Party is needed
We live in an age where no-one has the time to sit and think how they could improve their own individual lives, the lives of their nearest and dearest and the lives of fellow citizens.
We live in an potentially terrifying environment where the fundamental, that word is used carefully, British values of a democratic society have been and continue to be completely undermined. MP's have very little say on what goes on, the various ministeries leak their policies to their favourite journalists, making sure that they get a favourable comment, and then inform parliament by way of a statement or written answer.
This has led to a situation where many MP's are now in the job because of what they can earn, this is shown up clearly by the way MP's, of all parties have been taking the tax payer to the cleaners. The NDP suspects that when the full extent of the fiddles are laid bare in front of the public later this year, there will be a number of MP's who will have to leave parliament rather quickly. Some hopefully will get their collars felt by Plod.
There is a strong argument that says at least two current ministers are sailing very close to the criminal wind.
We are being forced to endure a society, which is becoming more and more restrictive. We have more CCTV cameras then other country in the world, we are going to be forced to carry identity cards, we are faced with bus conductors asking for proof of identity when passengers, who have not paid the right fare and ask for demand for payment ot be sent to our homes. Incidentally they have no right to demand this, if you make a mistake and are likely to be fined, then refuse to comply with any request for identity proof.
We have a society, which is becoming more and more fragmented. By adopting a multi-cultural society as a policy, successive governments have helped to make Britain into a country of countries. Everywhere you go parts of cities are being taken over by different religeous or ethnic groups.
Our social services are collapsing. Our priorites are completely unbalanced. For instance, on the one hand we have 2.6 million people claiming incapacity benefit, costing the state billions of pounds, and on the other hand old folk who are forced to spend their last penny to get any help at all. Madness.
This government, through it's lunatic policies have created an underclass of people who have never worked and never will. Because the state has supported this group so fervently the children of this group of people are adopting the same take on life, no need to work as the state will take care of me.
What sort of government produces a policy, which encourages young females to get pregnant. This government does by giving them somewhere to live and then giving them money to manage.
The NDP wants this to change, we don't know all the answers, but hopefully by opening up this discussion group we might get there eventually.
